Ads-Content-That-Converts-blog-image

FB ads are the rage…but is yours doing what you want it to do?

I do want to preface this with, I am by no means a social media ad expert. I am, however, all about content and how to convert the glancing eyeballs into interested aspiring clients.

Here are some things to know about social media ads.

Every second there are 20,000 people on facebook.

Just a few more facts and statistics before we talk content!

U.S. social media advertising revenue is estimated to increase by more than 194%, to reach $15 billion in 2018.

The most preferred social media platforms by advertisers: Facebook 92%, Youtube 35%, and Twitter 23%.

Here’s the thing, social media advertising is here to stay. So, if you’re going to jump on the bandwagon, you need your ads to be spot-on, clear and targeting the right  audience.

Ads have one goal.

It can be to build your list, introduce a new service or program, or sell a product.

But what an ad shouldn’t do it lead people just to your website.

See, people have too much going on the be dumped onto a website to fend for themselves.

They need to be led, just like a horse needs to be led to water. Why do you think amusement parks have the cattle call lines? To lead people to a specific ride.

Your ad needs to do the same thing.

Lead them to a better way

It needs to lead people to something specific you want them to take action on.

And to go one step further…you want those people to be “qualified” and not just any old joe, who’s not really interested in what you have to offer, but is just looking for a deal.

Your ad has to be specific – One goal, one promise, one action.

You know how limited the copy is on FB ads…so they have to be the right words (and you don’t even have 140 characters to do it in.)

 Tips for better converting content

  1. What is your goal for the ad? You have to have just one goal for each ad. Remember, a confused mind doesn’t make a decision.
  2. Know your audience. Who is the one person you want to come to your page? Those are the people you want to attract and have them act on your ad.
  3. Know what they want and give it to them. Even in a word or 2, your promise to the right person will speak to the issue or challenge that’s going on…it’ll pique their interest and have them asking…”it sounds like she knows me, I’ll have to check it out.”

Your job is to entice them to click your ad and go to your page. (What they do on your page is a subject for another post!)

An ad isn’t for kicks, it’s not just a fun thing to do, it’s to convert the “passer by” into a warm prospect ( I hate that term, but you know what I mean by it) or even a client.

Test your content and play around with your ads, this will be the sure-fire way to know what’s working to attract your ideal people.

And whatever you do…write on!
